Reflecting on the motherhood transformation challenge of "open heart or die" soul competition, kindly supported by and through night dreams/mythology.
Possession by spider mother archetype, love, phoenix transformation, sleepless nights, searching, care or overprotecting, breaking down all naive patterns, family, creation, mother nature, back to basics.
I collected several paintings I made during the pregnancy till about one year with our sun. Trying to depict the spiritual shaking transformation that parenthood offers by welcoming babies pure souls with open hearts (babies, the future) in our world.
The gate between visible and invisible is opening during birth and then when dying. When women have a chance to be very sensitive to the invisible spiritual world. That world is talking about love and care but also other world events that are going on our planet now and are destructive. Our world is changing and shaking now in pain that is bringing something new like if the woman has delivery.
I depicted personal transformation as a woman mother intertwined with world events in the bordure.
The top part depicts war and Earth eruption, bottom one personal challenges.
The middle top with spider web talks about spider mother archetype aspects: creation, connecting, waiting, overprotecting, empathy, telepathy, weaving the invisible connecting web and letting it die when it's time for change.
The two fires at the bottom talk about excommunication while one follows intuition, telling Be yourself or die, set up your own fire. While one does things differently (as an artist mother) and calls the Spirit and heart to be our companion in the dark shaking days of global rebirth.
These tapestries are mapping the invisible world through night dreams and visions that overlap with day life experiences. These works are a combination of two streams of my interests that are painting and textile.

In the middle bottom position is Gryphon, representing Self, he bought frites and I bought traditional cake. Its pointing to balance between mainstream and tradition, to be complete human being, besides that frites are square shape with fire color referring about logical thinking and the cake is round referring to feelings, I used this wise metaphor in bordure for modern folklore imagery.

This tapestry was created for the Glasgow International event, based on mailing conversations with the working women community, we spoke about their approach to Spirituality and life sense and how they manage to work and care about family. I made my personal interpretation on this theme.
While it might get complicated in our lives, women have the power to go with the flow, let things go and get power from nature. I painted a dream where there is a round shaped rainbow and waterfall with falling/flying women. Problems with poverty, noisy city life or violence are standing near, but the inner strong centrum is set and the woman is trusting life to guide her through and seeing and hearing beauty in that all.
The bordure with moon phases, sun and dog talks about women's rhythm, ability and necessity to transform, also followed by menstruation and moon cycles, dog as a gatekeeper to the underworld. While it has divertive form of mainstream emoticon/sun and mickey mouse/moon warning about toxic fall to superficial flat life unable to replace the spiritual connection.

A dream that inspired tapestry Ghost In White Clothes:
It was night and we were running from an old city made from stone. We were running away from a huge ghost hunting us and flying above. Everyone was screaming. The ghost flew into the crowd and got small in human size, in a ghost costume he was running away from himself as well and screaming with a comedian shimmer in his eyes. He asked me if I want to see something and I agreed. We walked to the left to the edge of the sea. There was a flood going to destroy the city - which he didn't care about. He asked me if I want to live. And I said yes. Then the flood stopped. I saw a sparkle positioned in the sea in my body and in his, coming through the space and time. My sister in gamekeeper clothes was coming from the right. In Czech language the word "Spirit" and "Ghost" are the same.
